The Queen of Suspense novelist Mary Higgins Clark, author of biographies

Mary Theresa Eleanor Higgins was born in the Bronx on 24 December 1927. She was the only daughter of Irish immigrants, Luke Higgins and his wife Nora. His father died when Mary was only 11 years.

In order to fight their mother financially, Mary went to secretarial school after high school. He has worked at an advertising agency for three years until she decided she wanted to travel.

In 1996 John married Mary Conheeney. John is the retired chairman and CEO of Merrill-Lynch Futures. They Saddle River, New Jersey home.

Although Mary is known as "The Queen of Suspense," she sayswants a book that a generation saga.
