Goodbye Kiev is a touching story of a man looking for love

Find the person to a life with Share is a struggle for many. Goodbye Kiev author Thomas C. Almond 's novel tells as the woman of his dreams in Ukraine was held by a marriage agency, and the challenges they faced in their relationship.

Tom is a veteran of 27 years of Portland Fire and Rescue. He is divorced and alone. It is a serious man, what he wants and knows how to get. Nothing will find it for love and to stop permanentlyValue. By agency, begins with a young woman named Lyubov in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine meets. Months passed and the two Tom and Lyubov are eager to meet. It was agreed at their meeting in Kiev, Ukraine, Lyubov that his son, to bring Sasha. The visit goes smoothly. Despite its less developed than the Russian who wanted, and Lyubov only speak little English, by the end of this first visit, be sure that Tom is very much in loveLyubov beautiful. Lyubov and raises the question say yes. Another visit is planned for the summer and Tom flew home in the United States. He is happy and in love and looking like a family with Lyubov and Sasha lives in Oregon.

Shortly after his return, he receives an astonishing letter from Lyubov tells you how much she loves him and how nice it is. But all is not perfect, as Tom begins to realize that their messages may take longer and longer to arrive. Then a shocking letter from Lyubovshakes the faith of his feelings for her. He says he does not think Tom likes, she does not believe that he really loves, and she suggests that it would have been happier with another. Tom can not understand this sudden change. Lyubov I mean everything that you do not want to charge Tom with their problems.

Tom is planning another trip to Ukraine, although it is not safe, Lyubov see him. Fly to his hometown, hoping to discover what the real problem. Skip a week to week alone andis expected to agree to meet him. He is patient, but his patience is growing short. Will his persistence paid or will eventually go home and be alone with a broken heart?

Mr. Almond writes from his heart. Since only few male authors I read, not afraid to examine and express his feelings. This is a fascinating story of love and commitment. I found myself rooting for Tom, in the hope that he would come to their defense for Lyubov reduced in order to save the relationship. In my opinion, the book is abit 'in Chapter 6, "the magazine at home, in which the events of the first five chapters are grouped together. However, Almond gets quickly to push back on track, the story continues until climax.

This is not a fairy tale novel. It is a touching story of a realistic man looking for love. The finish is powerful, emotional, and do not forget so quickly. I have recommended Goodbye Kiev.
