John Sandford (the pseudonym of John Roswell Camp) was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa February 23, 1944. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in American Studies in 1970-1971 and returned to obtain a master's degree in journalism. He married in 1966 Susan Lee Jones, also a student at the University of Iowa. They have two children, Emily Roswell. They moved to Minnesota in 1978. Susan died in 2007.
John is a U.S. tour in 1960 Armystationed in Korea, where he worked as an editor. From 1968-1990 he worked as a journalist for various publications. He was nominated as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1980 to win for his study of Native Americans in Minnesota and North Dakota. He also won the Pulitzer Prize in 1986 for a series of articles on the farm crisis in the Midwest. After the player burn-out from the work of the crime for twenty years, he was posted as the author of two books and many non-fiction booksFiction. It crouches in journalism from time to time.
John has traveled extensively to book guided tours. While not traveling, can be found at his home in Minnesota. He has many interests, including archeology, fishing, hunting, karate (black belt is) and photography among others. Only once canoed from the mouth of the Mississippi in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico.
She traveled to Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. He has been involved inArchaeological excavations of Beth Shean and Tel Rehov in Israel near the Sea of Galilee. He was the photographer and a major donor.
In January 2008, a partnership with MinnPost KYSP TV John Sandford and photojournalist Eric Bowen, Baden, Iraq, to send for two weeks.
