Book Review - the only hero to be fatal - a true story of addiction

This book is the real story of Adam, a teenager, the drug was removed when he was twelve.

Told from the perspective of Adam himself, this is an important and frightening account of how young people and their families, both emotionally and physically, because of addiction are destroyed.

Above is the story about the power of drugs and how they have control of someone.

"Even if my intention was to change my life down at someLevel, deep in my hear a weakness, as if the conscious part of me has been superseded by a dark force subconscious. "

Adam started taking the drug during the seventh and eighth grade. When he was twelve years old, was smoking marijuana and drinking beer. This is, of course, much more rapidly enough drugs and the time of Adam WAS in its first year of high school, he was already experimenting with LSD, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, Ritalin, Crystal Meth, Speed Balls,Analgesics, tranquilizers, uppers, and all-in-between. "

"With friends around for support, I would do any drug was to set before me. Nothing shocks me."

What is really frightening about this book and see all Adam does to support his addiction: lying, stealing, getting the same beaten almost to death and go to jail. But nothing stops him, nothing is stronger than his desire for drugs, no matter what his thoughts and his heart tells him to do.

"If you're aSubstance abusers are, in every waking moment and half of your sleep time with just a thought beschäftigt.-how can I get money for drugs "

Everything else is meaningless: families, mothers and fathers, siblings, best friends, everything is meaningless unless the wishes of the race for the top later.

Another aspect of this story is disturbing, the fact that Adam was a love, caring family, step-parents and a brother who love him, so that the reader ask, what iskid falling into drugs? Do not try to adapt with their peers and the wrong people.

I found a suitable character for this book. Projecting the voice of our young drug users, sometimes with some subtle insensitivity reader is cold. Although the book is from the perspective of Adam, is actually written by his father. The story takes the reader from the beginning of Adam's Addiction at the time he reached his late teens and was taken to a hospital. The author 'leaves us with a glimmer of hope at the end.

Only Mortals be heroes is a true story, which offers an important message for young people. I want this book in schools necessary for the lower and upper school levels of reading. It 'also important reading for parents of teenage children. The phrase "you know where your child is now?" not so good for nothing known.
